Our Process: From Design to Installation

At DT Splinter Custom Kitchens, we specialize in designing and manufacturing kitchen and specialty cabinetry for home spaces that are tailored to your specific needs and preferences. We pride ourselves on using only top-grade materials, accessories, lacquers and stains.

Our design process starts with an onsite measure, or from your architectural drawings, along with a discussion of your ideal kitchen. One of our skilled designers will provide an initial design with your unique needs and desires in mind. From there, we work through the selection and revision process to create a final plan that feels just right.

After a commitment has been made, your remeasure and installation dates will be scheduled. Please note, that it is usual for us to be booking installation dates three to four months out from the current date.

Your cabinetry is then built and finished in-house before one of our skilled installers begins installing your new cabinetry.

Every step of the way, we work with you to ensure a positive experience and an end result that you will love.

DT Splinter transformed our kitchen six years ago. A few months ago, we noticed some wear and tear and contacted them to see if they do some touch-ups. While COVID delayed the project, we were able to get the work completed, and they even added a few extra touches that we are delighted with. Where to begin...Working with Dave and his team was such a positive experience. I am new to Kingston, so I obtained many quotes and designs. I bought a townhouse with a small space, and a 13 year old kitchen original to the house. DT Kitchens offered me the best value for my money--high quality cabinets made at his shop with an awesome design (pull out pantry drawers, Lemans blind corner pull out for storage, spice pull-out etc). Dave and his team were incredible to work with--friendly, professional, flexible and accommodating with my indecisiveness and changes. I am soooo incredibly happy with my new kitchen. Ted was really professional to work with- he kept good communication, really helped us create a functional kitchen. He made good suggestions, while keeping what we wanted in mind.
